H. C. Andersen is without comparison Odense’s best-known child and the reason for most tourist visits in our city. Here you will find information about H.C. Andersen’s House.
He was a Danish author. Although a prolific writer of plays, travelogues, novels, and poems, Andersen is best remembered for his fairy tales. Andersen’s popularity is not limited to children; his stories, called eventyr in Danish, express themes that transcend age and nationality.

Helnæs Bobakkerne consists of the hilly northern tip of the peninsula Helnæs. Boreal is the remarkably well preserved Helnæs called tail, with fine commons.
The Galgebakken forms a grand entrance to Helnæs. From the top of the 29 meter high hill, there is a fantastic view over Helnæs.

we have many small cozy roads for a bike ride, while enjoying the beautiful scenery and landscape.

The Heritage Museum is located in an impressive merchant house Øhavsmuseet Den Gamle Gaard from the 1700´s, at that time Faaborg was a lively trading town. In addition there is an extensive exhibition of glassware from af large glassworks in Odense. The Prison Museum is a brand new permanent exhibit and is open in the old town prison in Faaborg. The exhibit focuses on life in jail in the past as well as the present. We invite both adults and children into the unique setting. The Svanninge hills are a very hilly nature area located at Sydfyn near Faaborg

The area covers approximatley 5 km2 and varies between deciduous forest, coniferous forest, marsh, meadow, cane and particularly commons. Much of the land is grazed to maintain natural areas and create new open spaces. In this area, there is a network of paths that are associated with island-sea paths. There are viewing towers, primitive accommodation, space and nature, hence there is scope for visiting the hills.

The picture here is Dreslette Church, which is high in the landscape, and from the tower there is a very nice view over the countryside and Aa beach. A 5 km bike ride down Slotsallé and the oldest in the north
A bike ride into Assens city, the route is a quick ride on (7 km.). Assens is a nice shopping town with a nice main street with many shops.
